Dreeman Fye. He was my GM when I first joined the thief profession, and, together with Demosthenes (another vote for Ender, I guess), I learned how to be the thief I am. Not only that, I learned how to lead people and run a guild. Dreeman showed how enthusiasm, interest, and concern can create and encourage members to be not just a decent member of the profession, but a loyal and dedicated member of the guild. They also taught as a great team, and I learned the best way to train new members in skills, fighting, and stealing.

I was beyond lucky to have the two of them in charge of Bandits when I joined - a great GM can turn an average guild into an amazing one.

I would have to say Griffyn. He was a total goon and taught me that Avalon isn't all about fighting and being serious all the time. You can have fun and goof off too. Nothing is more entertaining then just hanging in the trees with a bunch of your guildmates and finding out creative uses for shirolos  Cheesy

He also showed me some really bad fighting habits and that I still can't shake!

i'd have to say elmak. rajj had some great ideas, brought back some of the clans that gryffin and a few others had set up/perfected. greystoke, although a great person, was a hopeless gm. spent no time on the lws, and did jack all... but besides that, he was great  Cheesy

Saphir, GM and founder of the Prophets Guild in Avalon, the most consumate flirt ever to set foot in Avalon.

And the real life guy behind him is just as charming Smiley

Had the best days of my Avalon life in the Prophets when we still had evocation as a skill set and there was Saphir and me and Kimba and Lothar and then Orinoko and Gandalf came back.

Springdale was vibrant and active with such fabulous people as Bastion, Warfarin, Orielle, Tarkus, Jared, Jebaman, Sirus, Panamon, Buttons, Arkane, Johnni, Volpone, Jasteron (before the bugger defected to Thakria) and so many more.

Can't believe the number of really good characters that have stopped playing just in my six years of Avalon.
